Trying to understand and come to terms with the meaning of life and the riddle of the extreme contrast between good and bad that makes up life has long been a primary stimulus of my intellectual activity. My Thesis Project, "States of Mind" is a collection of visual representations of different states of mind which comprise the meaning of life.
I do not belive that mankind has a particular purpose on earth; I subscribe rather to the Gaia Theory; that we are part of a larger organism.
Therefore, the meaning of life for me is experience. My work is a personal record of different emotional experiences and attitudes which are, at the same time, part of the universal experience of belonging to the human species. It naturally follows that there is no sequence of events, places, or time in this body of work. Each piece can stand by itself outside of historical time, but also, as an integral part of the whole.
